Mayor's Message

Last Friday on Veterans Day, I had the privilege of participating in two very different but beautiful tributes to our veterans.

When I was in my twenties, I paid a visit to my primary care doctor maybe once a year, never really giving thought to my health, and always assuming that as long as I felt good, I would always be healthy.

Next Tuesday, November 8, many of us will practice our civic duty and find a polling place where we will select our representatives for county, state and federal positions, as well as opposing or supporting a local referendum.

I do not believe that I will ever forget the excitement I had as a child growing up regarding Halloween.

There are events that occur in my daily life that give me pause, as I am reminded why I love and care so much for this community.
