Mayor's Message

The following is a note that Mayor Marchese sent to Mayor Nancy Rotering of Highland Park

This week’s Mayor’s Message is quite different from those that I have written in the past, but hopefully, just as meaningful to our readers.

I lost a friend and work acquaintance last week, which put me in a reflective mood; I thought how life seems to move by so rapidly, and as I find myself saying goodbye to good friends and family, I also find myself recounting the memories of the things we did and shared together.

I went to bed the other night, a young man of twenty-two, with dreams of the future, wondering what life would bring me during my lifetime.

Over the last three years, I had the honor of visiting our local schools at the invitation of teachers and students.
