Over the next several days, we will be drawn together by the bonds of family and friendships. Some of these individuals will only touch our lives briefly, while others will travel with us throughout our life journey. As you gather together this holiday season, give thought to those individuals who surround you and the impact they have on your happiness and your success. We may have distinct and real differences with several of them, but realize that we share more similarities with them than elements that separate us, and while we can achieve things individually, we can achieve greater things together. As John Lennon states, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
So as we proceed through this holiday season, take a second and focus on those who you allow into your life and how working together with them forges life-long relationships that work to make us not only stronger, they work at making us happier. Our lives are richer as a result of the togetherness we share with others, and during this holiday season, may we all come to appreciate those who come in and out of our lives and the impact they have on each of us.
