I lost a friend and former neighbor last week and while it has been thirty-five years since we moved away, he and his wife will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The longer days, the sprouting of plants awakening from their winter hibernation, the greening of our lawns and the budding of our trees, the patter of raindrops and the sound of neighborhood children playing outdoors are all serving as signs that spring is upon us.
