I lost a friend and former neighbor last week and while it has been thirty-five years since we moved away, he and his wife will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Have you ever been part of a conversation where someone brought up information regarding the city or another entity, and you think to yourself, “why didn’t I hear about that,” or “is that really true,” or “how did I miss that one?”

My message today is directed at the wonderful individuals I get to work with here at City Hall on a day-to-day basis.

The longer days, the sprouting of plants awakening from their winter hibernation, the greening of our lawns and the budding of our trees, the patter of raindrops and the sound of neighborhood children playing outdoors are all serving as signs that spring is upon us.
